A Happy New Year!
As this year draws to an end, I'm so grateful for all of the blessings, joys, trials, and victories the past year has brought into my life. My husband (our wonderful wedding), our pup Titus, our family and friends, our home in the beautiful islands, health, and so much more. And as usual, I'm excited for a brand new calendar and the possibility it brings. My hope is that you find health, happiness, and above all, growth in the Lord! Happy New Year!

Jason + Laura + Mowgli
What do you get when you pair an adorable couple and their sprightly pup with a brilliant morning at the beach?? You get something like this:
Jason and Laura (and Mowgli!) needed some last minute Christmas photos to finish up their Christmas cards this year! We met at the beach and had such a great morning in the sand on a cooler and slightly overcast day. These guys are seriously so much fun. With happiness overflowing from every smile and laugh -- they made my job an easy one :).

Zeb + Samantha + Baby
I've known Sam for a long, long time. We had classes together in junior high, lockers next door to each other in high school, stayed in touch after graduation through various moves and changes, and remain close friends to this day!
I was so excited when Zeb and Sam got engaged a few years ago and asked me to take their engagement photos. I was pretty new at photography and didn't really know what I was doing. They were such a joy to photograph and little did I know I'd do Christmas photos through the years, AND be able to do a maternity session with them less than a month before their baby, Henry, arrived!
Dave and I decided, kind of on a whim, to travel back to my hometown in Minnesota this fall. Right when we booked our tickets I let Sam know just incase she'd happen to be in town at the same time. It worked out beautifully and we (Dave was my assistant) were able to work in a session on a cold (37 degrees) but beautiful fall morning. Henry was born 10.9.14 and is such an adorable baby. I'm so grateful I was part of the process of documenting his life!
